Ball’s star status in the NBA is unquestioned, though. His signature shoe line is an excellent example of how appealing his brand is, Puma gave Melo a 10-year, $100 million deal.
As he prepares to begin a new chapter in his professional career with the Minnesota Timberwolves, LaMelo is also spending his offseason promoting his shoes. And this has resulted in an epic moment.

A basketball player’s signature shoe is a big part of their professional identity. Ball is no exception to that, and his shoes often tend to have colourful, creative designs that reflect his unorthodox style.
He was recently asked to pick three people he’d want to wear his shoes. And without hesitating, Melo answered, saying, “Jesus, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X. Suffice to say, the video clip went viral.
“I’m really curious about what goes down in Melo’s head man,” one fan wrote. “Yea man, I need that Ant and Melo post-game PR interview asap,” said another.
“Dope answer. Having them 3 wear your shoes trumps everybody,” said a third fan. “It sounds utterly ridiculous but he not wrong, though,” claimed a fourth.

“You really can’t tell if bro be trolling or if he’s legit being serious,” another fan observed. “Just when I think this guy can’t surprise me anymore, he says this,” a sixth fan commented.
While the question didn’t specify if the people he should pick include the history of humanity, Melo seemed confident in his answer. It never hurts to dream big.
