Thunder’s Isaiah Hartenstein hosts back-to-school event for local families
Isaiah Hartenstein and his foundation hosted a back-to-school event, providing supplies, haircuts, and activities for hundreds of kids from three local nonprofits.

Thunder player Isaiah Hartenstein and his foundation hosted a back-to-school event on Saturday, supporting families from three local nonprofits with supplies, haircuts, and fun activities for hundreds of children.
“This is a huge relief for a lot of our families because they can come and pick what they need,” said Margaret Creighton, president and CEO of Positive Tomorrows.
Hartenstein spoke of his commitment to the initiative.
“Every year we want to come back and do a little back-to-school thing. Today we’re giving backpacks, haircuts, foods, different activities to 300 kids just to make sure they’re going into the school year on a high note,” Hartenstein said.

The event also featured food, games, free haircuts, and appearances by Thunder DJ Emcee One and the team’s mascot, Rumble.
Backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed to ensure every child is ready for their first day of school.
