Houston Rockets forward Amen Thompson has had a busy offseason. From attending the FIFA World Cup to taking up a new hobby with his twin brother, Thompson has enjoyed his time off from a demanding NBA season.
However, the former No. 4 overall pick is still dedicated to improving his game, having recently trained with other NBA stars in Miami, Florida. In a recent video posted to social media, Thompson was seen working out with his brother Ausar (Detroit Pistons), Cade Cunningham (Detroit Pistons), Davion Mitchell (Miami Heat), Taurean Prince (Milwaukee Bucks) and recent No. 3 overall pick Cameron Boozer (Memphis Grizzlies).
While Thompson is one of the best defenders in the NBA, Rockets head coach Ime Udoka will be eager to see his offensive improvement during the 2026-27 season, most importantly his 3-point shooting. Thompson holds a career average of 21.9% from beyond the arc. If able to unlock this portion of his game, Thompson would easily become one of the most feared two-way players in the league.
