Every Magic game will be free to watch next season in Orlando for Magic fans, except for National TV games.
WFTV (Channel 9) and TV27 have officially announced a local TV broadcast partnership with the Orlando Magic. This includes access on YouTube TV. The local broadcast team will also bring fans pregame and postgame access and special content, according to Alex Walker.

Every non-nationally televised regular season game is FREE on WRDQ TV 27 with select games also airing on WFTV Channel 9.
Cox Media Group (WRDQ TV 27, WFTV Channel 9) will serve as our new over-the-air broadcast partner for the 2026-27 season.

With Magic fans still recovering from the news that the team’s legendary longtime broadcaster David Steele was announcing his retirement, this news to lift fans spirits and help further grow the game and the team’s meaning within the community comes at a good time.
The new broadcast team will be led by the new Voice of the Magic in Dante Marchitelli, returning sideline reporter Kendra Douglas, and resident color commentator and Magic legend, Jeff Turner.

While fans will still have to hunt for cable or the right streaming service for National TV games such as ABC, ESPN, Prime, and Peacock, having the majority of these games made for free is simply good in so many ways.
Obviously, offering the product for free allows true fans to have a good, reliable way to watch the game whether they can afford the rising prices of tickets or not. Many Orlando residents and longtime fans still have cable, so all those folks will instantly be able to watch every non National TV Magic game for free for the entire season, either on WRDQ TV 27 or WFTV Channel 9.
But just as important is what this can do for the fans, the community, and the city.
Providing quality entertainment via NBA basketball games without cost of barrier is how new fans are created, with each next generation receiving equal and affordable access to enjoy the games as they are meant to be enjoyed – one of the last meaningful live viewing experiences anyone can share with friends, family, and the community of fans across the world.
