The new-look 76ers continue to be featured in premier games during the NBA’s 2026-27 schedule release.
They will play at the Atlanta Hawks on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 18, televised by NBC and Peacock at 2:30 p.m.) and a road game against the Dallas Mavericks on Presidents Day (Feb. 15 at 2:30 p.m.), per the NBA. The NBA also announced Wednesday that the Sixers will host the New York Knicks on the first night of NBA Cup group play on Oct. 30 (Amazon Prime Video). It will be the Sixers’ second matchup against the defending champions in the season’s first two weeks, following an opening night visit to Madison Square Garden on Oct. 20.
The Sixers’ other NBA Cup group play games will be Nov. 6 at the Cleveland Cavaliers (Prime), Nov. 25 vs. the Miami Heat (ESPN), and Nov. 27 at the Indiana Pacers.
The NBA announced Tuesday that the Sixers also will play their home opener Oct. 22 against the Cavaliers, another former James team. The remaining schedule will be released Thursday afternoon, per the NBA.
The Sixers are coming off a transformative offseason in which they added the legendary James and All-NBA wing Jaylen Brown to a core already featuring All-NBA guard Tyrese Maxey, former NBA MVP Joel Embiid, and rising star guard VJ Edgecombe.
