Partizan have already added seven new players this summer, but the Serbian club’s work on the transfer market is reportedly not over yet.
According to Nova.rs, Partizan have agreed terms with Puerto Rico international and Indiana Pacers guard Ethan Thompson.
However, before the deal can be finalized and a contract signed, the Pacers must first part ways with the 27-year-old. According to information obtained by Meridian Sport, that is expected to happen shortly.
Born in California, Thompson played college basketball at Oregon State before beginning his professional career in the NBA G League. He also had a brief spell in Puerto Rico before earning an opportunity with the Pacers last season. Thompson made 32 appearances under Rick Carlisle, averaging 7.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
He represented Puerto Rico at the 2023 FIBA World Cup and recently featured in the national team’s World Cup qualifying campaign. In early July, Thompson scored 14 points against Canada before adding 17 against the Bahamas.
