The Brooklyn Nets are in the slower part of the 2026 NBA offseason as they are basically finished with the 2026 NBA Draft, summer league play, and free-agency. Brooklyn is waiting patiently for their entire schedule for the 2026-27 regular season to be released, but in the meantime, the Nets at least know when they will be playing their NBA Cup games.
The NBA announced the entire NBA Cup schedule for the 2026-27 season on Wednesday as the league continues to reveal parts of the schedule until the slate is revealed in its entirety on Thursday. Over the course of their NBA Cup slate, the Nets will be facing the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, and Toronto Raptors as part of being in East Group A.
Brooklyn will be playing the Pistons at home on Oct. 30 at 7:30 PM ET, hosting the Magic on Nov. 20 at 7:30 PM ET, visiting the Bucks on Nov. 25 at 8:00 PM ET, and crossing the Canadian border to face the Raptors on Nov. 27 at 7:30 PM ET. As of this writing, the Nets know their preseason schedule and their schedule for the NBA Cup and given that the franchise is still in a rebuild, the Cup could give the team a goal to shoot for.
The Nets are expected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA next season so they are likely to be underdogs in their matchups against the Pistons, Magic, and Raptors (even without Kawhi Leonard). However, Milwaukee traded Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat this offseason so with that franchise heading into a rebuild, it’s possible that Brooklyn would be given a shot to win that game.
With that being said, the Nets move forward with the goal of developing the younger players on the team while allowing forwards Michael Porter Jr. and Julius Randle to do what they do best. Thursday will give Brooklyn its entire regular season schedule for the 2026-27 campaign, but until then, the organization knows who they will be facing as part of the NBA Cup.
