The Dallas Mavericks had a little fun with their schedule drop on Thursday, channeling one of the most famous skits by the sketch show “Key and Peele” to release their 2026-27 slate of games.

A Mavericks “substitute teacher” took his classroom full of NBA teams through Dallas’ schedule — though, like the extremely no-nonsense teacher “Mr. Garvey” played by Keegan-Michael Key in the original sketch, he has a terrible time pronouncing the names of the NBA teams he’s reading off the list.

The “San Antonio Spur-rez”, “Charlo’ Hornetays” (it’s French) and defending champion “Nye Ork Knicks” are all scheduled for home and away games with the Mavericks this season, along with several others.

The video even features a couple of Mavericks guest stars in center Dereck Lively II and guard Max Christie. The dinosaur-loving Lively is representing the Raptors while donning a Jurassic Park shirt.
