After averaging 25 points a season ago, Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero entered the 2025-26 season with his first 90 overall rating in NBA 2K. Despite an impressive postseason output, the former Duke Blue Devil was unable to keep his rating in the 90s after the Magic finished eighth in the Eastern Conference.
Although Banchero’s scoring numbers dropped a bit, his rebounding and assist totals were up, as he finished the season with averages of 22.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.6 blocks. This moved his rating back a few points, as he’ll now have an 87 overall rating in NBA 2K27. Along with his Southeast Division rival and fellow schoolmate Jalen Johnson, Banchero will be ranked among the highest Duke alumni in the NBA.
Heading into the 2026-27 season, Banchero’s ability to polish his long-distance shooting (career 31.7% from downtown) will determine his standing as a true three-level scoring threat.
