Dillon Brooks is getting a taste of his own medicine this week.

Golden State Warriors rookie forward Yaxel Lendeborg appeared over the weekend on a video game stream. At one point during the stream, Lendeborg got asked by a commenter if he was excited to match up against the Phoenix Suns swingman Brooks.

Lendeborg proceeded to reply by throwing some shade at Brooks. “I’m finna give Dillon Brooks belt,” Lendeborg said. “Stop playing bruh.” Here is the video.

The 23-year-old Lendeborg was referencing the popular saying of giving “belt to a–.” Clearly, he is not worried about having to match up against Brooks at the pro level.

Brooks, the former All-Defensive selection, is himself known as one of the NBA’s great instigators and irritants, particularly when it comes to playing against the rival Warriors. But Lendeborg, a First Team All-American and a national champion at Michigan last season is more than willing to match that energy (especially while standing 6-foot-9 to Brooks’ 6-foot-7).
