YEAH, REALLY AN EXCITING DAY HERE AT THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF OKLAHOMA COUNTY. WE’RE JUST INSIDE HERE. THERE’S A NEW WONDER ROOM FOR THE KIDS. IT HAS A STEM ZONE. COMPUTERS REALLY JUST A LOT MORE EQUIPMENT AND RESOURCES FOR THE KIDS THAT SPEND A LOT OF TIME HERE. NOW, IT WAS UNVEILED TODAY BY NBA COMMISSIONER ADAM SILVER AND CHAIRMAN OF THE OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER, CLAY BENNETT, ALONG WITH OTHERS FROM BOTH THE THUNDER AND THE NBA. THE KIDS GOT TO SEE THAT NEW ROOM. THEY ALSO GOT TO MEET SOME THUNDER PLAYERS, EVEN HAD TIME TO PLAY A LITTLE BASKETBALL WITH THOSE PLAYERS WHO THEY HAVE BEEN SEEING BOTH ON THE COURT AND THE SIDELINE DURING THE NBA FINALS, AND COMMISSIONER SILVER TODAY SAID THAT GIVING BACK TO THE CITIES THE NBA IS IN IS ONE OF THE MOST SPECIAL THINGS THAT THEY’RE ABLE TO DO. IT’S AMAZING TO BE HERE FOR THE FINALS. WE COME AND GO FAIRLY QUICKLY. ON THE OTHER HAND, IF WE’RE PART OF A PROJECT LIKE THIS FOR LITERALLY DECADES TO COME, PEOPLE CAN LOOK BACK ON A DEDICATION OF A BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB AND GENERATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE WHO GROW UP WITH THE BENEFITS THAT COME FROM THESE DEDICATIONS. AGAIN, A LOT OF THOSE KIDDOS GETTING TO MEET SOME OF THOSE THUNDER PLAYERS FACE TO FACE TODAY, I’M SURE THAT WAS ONE OF THE MOST EXCITING PARTS OF THEIR DAY. I KNOW THAT THEY CHEERED REALLY LOUD WHEN THEY GOT TO MEET RUMBLE AS WELL, BUT THOSE PLAYERS TALKED TO THOSE KIDS. THEY EVEN TOLD THEM SOME OF THEIR PERSONAL EXPERIENCES FROM WHENEVER THEY WERE GROWING UP, GETTING TO COME TO PLACES LIKE THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB AND HOW IT SHAPED THEM.
