KENNER, La. – The Laketown Squadron, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, today announced the team will host a one-day open tryout for local players on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Hertz Center at Tulane University. The tryout will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at approximately noon.
The open tryout allows prospective players to showcase their skills in front of the Laketown Squadron coaching and basketball operations staff. Players have the chance to compete for an invitation to Squadron training camp ahead of the 2026-27 NBA G League season.
All participants must meet the NBA G League eligibility requirements and complete the registration process to try out. Participants are required to submit the non-refundable $300 fee and complete the registration, medical consent and eligibility forms by Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. CT. All forms will be sent to participants after payment is received. Players can begin registration and submit their $300 payment at bit.ly/SquadronTryouts.
The Hertz Center is located at 2800 Ben Weiner Dr, New Orleans, LA 70118. Event logistics will be provided to all participants closer to the tryout date.
