JMU women’s basketball unveiled its non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 season on Wednesday.
The schedule features four Power Four opponents, led off by two ACC in-state matchups in Virginia Tech on Nov. 8 and UVA on Nov. 19, both away. The trip to Blacksburg will be the teams’ first since 2008.
The Dukes will also renew in-state rivalries with George Mason on Nov. 21 and Liberty on Dec. 8.
The Power Four slate is followed by SEC opponent Arkansas on Nov. 25 and Big Ten’s Penn State on Dec. 2.
The Dukes kick off their season on the road with the annual MAC-SBC challenge against Miami (Ohio).
JMU’s non-conference slate also features home matchups with Navy on Veterans Day and ECU on Nov. 15.
JMU is coming off a 26-9 season overall, which ended with a first-round exit in the NCAA tournament to No. 5-seeded Kentucky.
