Coming off a run to the NBA Finals, following the San Antonio Spurs could cost fans more this season.

The Spurs rank as the NBA’s third-most expensive team to watch during the opening week of the 2026-27 season, with tickets averaging $581, according to a new analysis from ticket marketplace SeatPick.

That is $255 more than the leaguewide opening-week average of $326 across 41 games played from Oct. 20 to 25.

Only the Philadelphia 76ers and defending champion New York Knicks are more expensive to watch during the opening week. Tickets for 76ers games average $1,232, while Knicks tickets average $1,212, according to SeatPick.

The Spurs open the season Oct. 20 against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Frost Bank Center. SeatPick found that tickets for the opener average $307, slightly below the leaguewide opening-week average.

Three days later, the price jumps considerably.

San Antonio will host the Houston Rockets on Oct. 23 at Austin’s Moody Center, where tickets average $1,150. That makes it the second-most expensive NBA game of opening week, according to SeatPick.

Only the Oct. 20 matchup between Philadelphia and New York at Madison Square Garden costs more, with tickets averaging $2,560 as the Knicks raise their first championship banner since 1973.

The Spurs then travel to Dallas to face the Mavericks on Oct. 24, completing their three-game opening week.

The higher prices come as expectations for Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs have grown following the team’s first trip to the NBA Finals since 2014.

And the costs will not necessarily end at the arena.

Once the season gets rolling, Spurs fans who want to follow the team from home will have a new viewing option — and a new price.

The Spurs recently announced a partnership with streaming service DAZN to carry 67 regular-season games and all five preseason games not selected for exclusive national broadcasts.

The Spurs’ DAZN package will cost $19.99 per month or $119.99 for a season pass, with a seven-day free trial available. The service will cover the team’s home broadcast territory across Central, South and West Texas. Twenty-two games also will be available over the air through a local broadcast partner.

The move marks a major change for Spurs fans accustomed to watching games on traditional regional sports networks. FanDuel Sports carried the team’s local broadcasts last season before its parent company, Main Street Sports, began winding down operations.

For fans looking for more affordable options during opening week, Charlotte is the least expensive team to watch, with tickets averaging $106. New Orleans follows at $118, while Utah averages $133.

But after a Finals run put San Antonio back among the NBA’s top contenders, following the Spurs — whether in person or from home — could come with a higher price tag in 2026-27.
