To anyone questioning whether Damian Lillard’s shooting prowess will endure in the wake of his ruptured Achilles, the nine-time NBA All-Star delivered an emphatic response.
Actually, he delivered more than 100,000 responses.
The most prolific shooter in Portland Trail Blazers history revealed he has made 100,100 shots over the past year, a monumental milestone for a player who has spent the past 16 months rehabilitating from Achilles surgery.
Lillard shared the milestone via a social media photograph, which showed a laptop screen littered with data and charts under the title, “Dame’s Road to 100K.” That road, according to the photo, started on Sept. 1, 2025, and ended on Aug. 29, 2026, a 362-day stretch that saw Lillard make 100,100 shots.
That means, on average, Lillard drained more than 8,341 shots a month and more than 1,925 shots a week over the year. He reached six figures by making 4,730 over the final 10 days, according to the photo, boosting his daily average to 274 during the year.
This impressive total was enhanced by a ridiculously hot shooting session on Aug. 28, during which Lillard made 1,100 of 1,168 shots (94%) at the Blazers’ practice facility in Tualatin, a feat documented in a separate social media photo.
Of course, for anyone who has watched Lillard over his 13-year career, the impressive feat hardly comes as a surprise.
The generational talent, who honed his shooting stroke using a 9-foot tree and a curb outside his grandmother’s house in Oakland, has scored more points (19,376) and made more 3-pointers (2,387) than any player in Blazers history. And earlier this year, roughly 10 months after tearing his left Achilles tendon, Lillard stunned the NBA by winning the 3-point contest at All-Star weekend.
