A 59th overall NBA draft pick who hasn’t signed, a lawsuit against the NCAA and a shot at going back to college instead of the NBA. Trey Kaufman ran spent four seasons at Purdue after a red shirt year from a knee injury back in 2021. The Timberwolves selected him in the June draft and he even played summer league with Minnesota, but he never signed a contract. Now he’s suing for a sixth year of eligibility. So the question now, does a second round pick walk away from the NBA to chase one more year in West Lafayette? We’ll know soon.
