Tony Delk is one of three players in Charlotte Hornets history to wear the No. 00. A former college point guard at Kentucky, Delk was selected by Charlotte with the No. 16 overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft. In 14.2 minutes per game during his rookie season, Delk averaged 5.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.1 blocks.
During his sophomore season, Delk was sent to the Golden State Warriors after just three games, being packaged with franchise legend Muggsy Bogues in a deal that saw B.J. Armstrong join the Hornets. Delk would finish a 10-year NBA career with averages of 9.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.8 steals in 545 career games played. His strongest season came in the 2000-01 campaign with the Phoenix Suns, where he averaged 12.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, two assists and 0.9 steals, finishing 10th place in Sixth Man of the Year Award voting.
