Philadelphia 76ers legend Julius Erving has a message for LeBron James.

LeBron James joining the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason has instantly added more pressure on the players to make a deep playoff run.

After all, the 76ers also have Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe on the team. On paper, this team looks unstoppable, but franchise legend Julius Erving still issued a warning to them.

For many, Erving is the greatest basketball player ever to wear the 76ers’ uniform, and he even led the organization to their last NBA title in 1983.

Speaking to NBA insider Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, Erving shared an important message for James and the rest of the 76ers.

“As for what’s going to happen in Philly, it’s going to be very exciting for the fans of Philadelphia and for LeBron,” Erving said.

He added, “That particular team can set some records and win some championships, but they have to do it on the court, not with lip service.”

In simple terms, Erving wants the entire 76ers roster to be focused on playing well on the court rather than making big promises to fans.
