Round 2 of the Blazer’s Edge Best Things Ever Tournament of 2026 is now underway. The first round contained 32 matchups between 64 good things in life. Blazer’s Edge Readers voted for one good thing to advance out of each pairing. With that complete, Round 2 is set! We’ll vote until we have a final Best Thing Ever for the year! It’s our way of killing time and creating extra conversation until training camp arrives.
The first matchup of the second round pits a couple of the bigger winners from Round 1 against each other. In this post you can either vote for Macaroni and Cheese or Golden Retrievers.
Dogs come in many varieties, but few are as adorable, loyal, and just plain fun as the Golden Retriever. They’re a classic pet, bringing hours of companionship, snuggles, and pets not just for their owners, but for most anyone they meet.
But if you like golden things, it’s hard to beat Macaroni and Cheese! It’s ooey. It’s gooey. It’s southern comfort food with near-infinite twists possible. Everyone has a favorite recipe. No matter how you dish it up, it’s darn good!
