Tatum enters the 2026-27 season having earned $209.6 million in his NBA career.

All of that money has come from the Celtics, who selected Tatum with the No. 3 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.

Tatum’s career earnings are set to skyrocket over the next four seasons. If he picks up his player option for the 2029-30 season, his career earnings will reach $469.5 million.

By that point, Tatum is projected to crack the top 10 in all-time career earnings.

Tatum currently ranks 55th among the highest-paid players in NBA history, according to Spotrac.

Tatum sits one spot behind LaMarcus Aldridge, who made $213.4 million in his career, and one spot ahead of Nicolas Batum, who has made $209.4 million.

The highest-paid player of all time is LeBron James, who has earned $581.4 million in NBA contracts.

Kevin Durant ($501.1 million) is the only other NBA player who has made more than $500 million, though Stephen Curry ($470.1 million) isn’t far behind.

Among active players, Tatum ranks 37th in career earnings.

Tatum is in the second year of a five-year, $313.9 million contract. He earned $54.1 million in the first year of the contract and will make $71.4 million in the final year.
