EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Princeton’s own Jackie Young has done a lot in her basketball career, and on Sunday, she made history.
She was a part of the USA women’s basketball team, that won the FIBA world championship, beating France, 97-79.
So with Sunday’s gold medal win, Young now has won titles, at every level of competitive basketball:
–a high school state title at Princeton
–an NCAA championship at Notre Dame
–three WNBA titles with the Vegas Aces
–TWO Olympic golds, in 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 hoops
–and now this FIBA World cup gold medal, with team USA
Jackie Young is the only player in the history of basketball, man or woman, to achieve this! Congrats to Young and her family!
