Pelicans, Saddiq Bey agree on 3-year contract extension worth $55.5 million

The New Orleans Pelicans and veteran forward Saddiq Bey have agreed on three-year contract extension worth $55.5 million.

Bey arrived in New Orleans last year as part of a blockbuster trade with the Washington Wizards that included players C.J. McCollum and Jordan Poole.
Coming off a serious knee injury, Bey produced a fantastic season in the Crescent City, averaging 18 points per game, 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists. He was was one the Pelicans most consistent and reliable players during a difficult campaign.
Bey, who played his college basketball at Villanova, is part of a Pelicans core which includes Zion Williamson, Trey Murphy III, Herb Jones and Dejounte Murray.
