SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George signed a multiyear extension to remain with the team that drafted him, becoming a key part of its rebuilding project.
The Jazz did not announce the terms of the deal, but it does not include a player or team option at the end.
The deal is worth $157.5 million and will keep George in Salt Lake City through the 2031-32 season.
George was selected with the 16th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and is coming off a season in which he averaged career highs of 23.6 points and 6.1 assists per game.
The Jazz threw George a party to celebrate the new deal, drawing a who’s who of Salt Lake City. The Jazz will begin fall camp Sept. 29.
