“Last year, it was the first time in his career that he felt that he didn’t have to be a go-to guy,” Eagle said on the Celtics Daily podcast. “I thought we saw what happened. … To me, the best thing in his current game and his career is his sharpshooting. In the playoffs, he shot 49% from (3-point range). And that’s where I feel like he will be a major factor. He can still defend at a high level. … He might not be the physical defender that he used to be, but he is really smart. If you watch him off the ball, he shoots gaps incredibly well. … For what the Celtics are going to need, I think that’s gonna be really good.”
