The Golden State Warriors’ 2025 campaign was safely one to forget. Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler combined to miss a total of 83 games, and the team missed the playoffs after falling in the Play-In Tournament.
The team’s dynastic days are well in the past now, and the NBA has already seen Curry and Coach Steve Kerr’s best days come and go. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean the Warriors won’t have some fun in the upcoming 2026-27 season, and there are some bright spots on this roster.
Young players Gui Santos and Brandon Podziemski showed they were capable of holding their own on the hardwood, while rookie Yaxel Lendeborg has many believing that he’ll start his career on the right foot.

Golden State Warriors best bets for 2026Best Warriors futures bet
Despite missing Curry and Butler for the majority of last season, the Warriors were still able to scrape their way into the Play-In Tournament. While they fell just short of winning both necessary games to make the bona fide playoff field, Golden State showed they were still willing to compete when called upon. Porzingis gives the team somewhat of an X factor outside of the franchise’s two stars, and veteran Draymond Green is still capable of his typical do-it-all role.
The Western Conference is highly competitive each year, and there are a lot of middle-of-the-pack teams that can’t compete with OKC or San Antonio. Golden State clawing back to the Play-In again wouldn’t be a huge surprise, and they are a back-of-the-pack playoff team if everyone can make it to the summer healthy. Take Golden State to return to the playoffs this season.
Best Warriors player prop
This line was much higher when Curry was at his best. At this point in his career, despite being 38 years old, he could very well hit this line. Most 35+ year olds in the NBA would come nowhere near this line, but Curry is one of the most special players in league history. The knee injury that sidelined him for much of last season could make its presence known again and could foil this line, but a -130 line on DraftKings signifies sportsbooks believe it’s more likely than not for Curry to return to his scoring ways.
Last season, through only 43 games, Curry averaged 26.6 points. It’s certainly worth noting that a relatively healthy season in 2025 featured 70 games played, but only 24.5 points per game. His health is the only thing that could inhibit this line from hitting, as Curry is still one of the best threats from downtown despite his older age.

Best Warriors postseason bet
The days of Golden State being a top-three lock in the Western Conference are long gone, but that doesn’t mean they won’t make the playoffs for the second season in a row. The last time the Warriors sat out of the postseason for two straight campaigns was during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, when Curry broke his hand and played only five games, and the COVID-19 season. Golden State may have to battle through the Play-In Tournament again, but at full strength, they should be able to. The No. 7-10 range is the perfect window for the Suns to finish the season in. At -140 for a team that features Curry and Butler, that’s a worthwhile bet.

Best Warriors longshot bet
Golden State last won the Western Conference in 2022 after a brief hiatus from playoff basketball. It was a great season for the Warriors that resulted in their seventh championship banner being hoisted. That caliber of basketball could very well be done for Curry and Co., and they are long shots to turn back the clock from a team with the quality of sitting at the pinnacle of the conference. This bet should not be touched this season, as there is virtually no chance the Warriors can finish above the Thunder, Spurs, or the majority of their conference.

Golden State Warriors win total prediction
While Golden State isn’t the indomitable force they used to be, they’re not a bad team; the Western Conference is just jampacked with high-caliber teams. As previously stated, there are a lot of teams in the middle of the conference that will jumble things as the season progresses. Injuries ravaged this Warriors team last season, but they should be back with a vengeance to prove their doubters wrong. Despite the injuries and hardships, Golden State was able to emerge victorious in 37 games last season.
With Curry and Butler back, assuming Santos and Podziemski continue their career progression, Golden State should be able to win 40 or more games this season. It will be interesting to see what role Lendeborg has in his rookie campaign, and his minutes could evolve if he plays at the mature level he did when his Michigan Wolverines won the national championship back in April. Take the over, albeit it’s a risky one.
Golden State Warriors NBA Finals odds
Hopefully, Warriors fans enjoyed their championship-winning days and did not take them for granted. To keep matters brief, this should not be placed, or even sprinkled, by anyone who is not a Warriors fan or lives in San Francisco or Oakland. Sure, they could battle and potentially enter the playoffs depending on their Play-In opponents. However, there is a virtually 0% chance Golden State will lift the Larry O’Brien Trophy this season.
While the team did win the 2022 edition of the NBA Finals, times have vastly changed for Coach Kerr’s crew. Golden State would have to embark on a journey that would surely become a sports documentary in the future and navigate through the top-heavy Western Conference, then take care of the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, or another Eastern Conference contender. Long story short, no thank you.

Curry hasn’t won an MVP award since the 2015-16 season, in which he averaged over 30 PPG, and it probably won’t happen this upcoming season. If the sharpshooter stays healthy, he’s shown that he can be a name on the ballot (nine times without a win). However, this just isn’t that likely an outcome at 38 years old and turning a year older this March.
Defensive Player of the Year
To keep things short, do not place this bet. While he can be a menace for his opponents to deal with, he simply doesn’t put up the defensive numbers needed in today’s game to win the award. With Victor Wembanyama, Chet Holmgren, and many, many players ahead of him, this is a bet to pass on.
Coach of the Year
Since leading the Warriors to a historic 73-9 season back in 2015-16, Kerr has not achieved the honors of Coach of the Year. It would likely take the Warriors to dominate this season with three 36+ year-olds in their starting lineup for Kerr to win, and that’s just not happening.
Sixth Man of the Year
Lendeborg winning Sixth Man of the Year would likely mean he’s also in contention for the Rookie of the Year award. This one isn’t as far-fetched as the odds may interpret it as, but it’s still not a likely bet. Only one rookie in NBA history has ever won the 6MOTY award (Ben Gordon, 2004-05), and it would be quite the feat if the former Michigan product did it this season. Don’t place this bet without watching Lendeborg play his first NBA minutes and figuring out what exactly his role will be.
Clutch Player of the Year
Curry is the go-to guy when the clock is ticking down and Golden State needs some points. He did win this award back in 2024, but it would be hard for him to become the first multi-winner of this award at age 38 (39 by the end of the season). His odds are somewhat reasonable for an aged star like this, but the value just isn’t there. This is unfortunately a pass.
All-NBA
After battling back from rampant injuries last season, Curry is lacing up the shoes again during the final season of his four-year, $215.3 million contract with Golden State. He is currently (as of Sept. 3) 13th on DraftKings chart of most-likely players to win, but the Splash Bro needs to show NBA fans he can stay on the court to even qualify for this award. This is a risky bet that is not advised to place.

Golden State Warriors schedule analysis
Golden State’s season begins down the coast in the City of Angels against Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers. After that battle, they’ll head back up to San Francisco to host the Memphis Grizzlies before embarking on a three-game road trip beginning in Phoenix and ending in Minnesota. When they return home, they’ll stay there for six games from Oct. 30 to Nov. 9 before a five-game road trip until Nov. 19.
In terms of nationally televised games, the Warriors are tied with Denver with 28 games accessible across the U.S. (if a resident has the necessary channel/streaming service). Golden State will have back-to-back primetime games in November when they travel to Houston (Nov. 11, ESPN) and San Antonio (Nov. 13, Prime). They’ll also get a high-profile Christmas Day matchup against the Nuggets on ABC/ESPN at 10:30 p.m. ET.
