With the NBA regular season rapidly approaching, several teams around the league have held media days to prepare for the long road ahead. For Zach LaVine and the Sacramento Kings, things took an interesting turn on Monday afternoon.
While reporters were waiting for the Kings to kick off their introductory press conference for the season, a hot mic moment exposed two female reporters discussing all of the “cute” and “hella fine” players on the Kings roster. LaVine qualified for the conversation, but it wasn’t all positive.
One reporter took issue with LaVine’s personality, and roasted the 31-year-old shooting guard for being annoying and seeming “like hella like a prick.”
The audio went viral, and NBA Twitter was having a blast, and another person who jumped into the conversation was LaVine’s wife, Hunter, who laughed off the moment with some social media posts of her own.

Zach LaVine’s Wife Hunter Unbothered By Thirsty Reporters
LaVine’s wife caught wind of the video on social media and slid into the replies on Instagram. Hunter appeared to have a tongue-in-cheek response to the incident, calling it “a great start to the season!”
She also reposted the video on Instagram Stories, along with a series of laughing face emojis. It’s good that she was able to take everything in stride.
The female reporters who were caught on the hot mic also threw compliments in the direction of Ben Simmons, who apparently has some incredible skin, and even Jordan Poole, who plays for the New Orleans Pelicans but still got a random mention.
It was an embarrassing moment for the reporters and the media pool, who thought cutting the live stream would stop the gossip from getting out. But this is the internet, so the audio was immediately clipped and won’t stop circulating anytime soon.
