Three familiar faces and two new ones will make up the broadcast team for the New Orleans Pelicans this season.

The veteran crew of play-by-play announcer Joel Meyers and color analyst Antonio Daniels are back again for television broadcasts.

This will be the seventh season the duo has worked together. Meyers is entering his fourteenth season, while Daniels is entering Year 7.

New Orleans native Andrew Lopez enters his third season as sideline reporter working alongside Meyers and Daniels.

Kelly Crull is one of the two new personalities coming on board this season. Crull, an Emmy Award-winning reporter, will host the pregame, halftime and postgame show. She previously worked in national roles with the NBA on TNT, NBATV, Major League Baseball on TBS and football on ESPN. She has worked as a reporter for the Oklahoma City Thunder, San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Hawks.

Kalia Butler joins the organization as a team reporter for the television broadcast and the team’s digital platforms. Butler previously served this season as the sideline reporter for the WNBA’s Chicago Sky and is the host of Locked on Women’s Basketball.

Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network, the official television home of Pelicans’ basketball, will broadcast 80 of the team’s 82 games. The other two games – the Pelicans’ two January games in Europe against the San Antonio Spurs – will be streamed on Amazon Prime. All locally televised Pelicans games will also be available via streaming on Pelicans +.

In addition, 20 of the regular season games will also be simulcast locally on FOX 8. Fans outside of the Pelicans’ regional market can access games via NBA League Pass.

“We are committed to delivering a high-quality broadcast experience that brings Pelicans basketball to as many fans as possible across the Gulf Coast,” Pelicans’ president Dennis Lauscha said in a press release. “Our partnership with Gray Media and FOX 8, complemented by streaming access through Pelicans+, allows us to pair first-class Pelicans’ coverage with broad accessibility throughout our region, giving fans more flexibility in how they watch. Building on last season’s significant viewership growth, we look forward to expanding our reach and giving more fans the opportunity to watch, follow and connect with the team.”

The FOX 8 coverage begins with the Oct. 21 season opener at home against the Indiana Pacers. Some of the other games among the 20 that will air on Fox 8 include:  the Dec. 31 game against the Los Angeles Lakers; the Jan. 28 game against LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers; and the March 23 game against the New York Knicks, last season’s NBA champions.

For the third straight season, WWL Radio (870 AM/105.3 FM) will handle the radio broadcast. Todd Graffagnini enters his eighth season as the play-by-play announcer for the radio broadcast. Color analyst John DeShazier is in his fifteenth season.  Gus Kattengell, who will host the pregame, halftime and postgame shows for radio, is in his third season. The radio broadcast will carry all 82 games and the four preseason games. The Pelicans play their preseason opener Tuesday on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
