New Orleans Pelicans practice at St. Augustine High School

The Pelicans took day 5 of training camp to St. Augustine High School.

“You have to be out in the community, be out in the city to represent it,” said Jamahl Mosley.

The practice also marked rookie Jaron Pierre Jr.’s return to his high school gym

New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy also donated $35,000 to St. Augustine High School to support its basketball program and student-athletes.

The contribution includes $25,000 toward the school’s new basketball facility and $10,000 to invest in student-athletes’ NIL opportunities.

“This is a small token of my gratitude, and I appreciate all of the support the school and students give me,” said Murphy.
