Mark Daigneault recently called Wallace the fastest player on the Thunder, at least when discussing speed on the court. That is significant because Oklahoma City has one of the NBA’s most athletic rosters. Wallace averaged 1.9 steals per game last season, repeatedly creating the exact opportunities required to weaponize that speed. Instead of automatically locating Gilgeous-Alexander after every takeaway, Wallace should occasionally keep the ball and force defenders to retreat.
