PORTLAND, Maine —
Cooper Flagg is in China with the Dallas Mavericks to take part in the 2026 NBA China Games, and the Maine native made a big reveal on Thursday.
Flagg’s official logo was unveiled at a New Balance event at the NBA China store in Macao. The logo is a “CF” with pine tree edging, an homage that pays tribute to his home state.
“The logo design represents me. It connects to my name, but also to my roots, which is something that was really important to me,” Flagg said in a statement shared by New Balance. “Where I’m from, there are a lot of trees, so you’ll see the pine tree cutouts on the side as a reminder of staying true to who I am and where I grew up. I wanted to include hints of Maine while keeping the design clean and something that feels like me.”
Flagg, 19, won the 2025-26 NBA Rookie of the Year award after leading all rookies with an average of 21.0 points per game. He also ranked in the top five among rookies in rebounding (6.7 per game, 4th), assists (4.5 per game, 2nd), steals (1.2 per game, 2nd) and blocks (0.9 per game, 5th). In addition, Flagg became the youngest player to score at least 35 points, 40 points, 45 points and 50 points in an NBA game at different points during his first professional season.
New Balance signed Flagg to an endorsement deal in August 2024, before the start of his freshman year at Duke University. After leading the Blue Devils to the Final Four, Flagg was selected by the Mavericks with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft.
As part of the NBA China Games, the Mavericks will play a pair of preseason games against the Houston Rockets in Macao. The first game starts at 8 a.m. ET on Friday. The second game is scheduled for 6 a.m. ET on Sunday.
