Grizzlies fall 122–118: Memphis dropped Wednesday’s preseason home game against Orlando at FedExForum, moving to 1–1 in preseason play.Memphis battled back: After trailing 36–26 after one quarter, the Grizzlies cut the deficit to 64–61 at halftime. A 31-point fourth quarter wasn’t enough to finish the comeback. Ty Jerome led the scoring: Jerome finished with 17 points and four assists, shooting 7-for-14 without committing a turnover.Cameron Boozer delivered: Boozer contributed 16 points, six rebounds and two assists, making 4-of-7 shots and 2-of-3 from three.GG Jackson provided a spark: Jackson scored 15 points with six rebounds, knocking down three three-pointers in just under 14 minutes.Taylor Hendricks made his minutes count: Hendricks scored 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting, including two threes, in just over 11 minutes. Cam Spencer led Memphis with five assists.Three-point defense and rebounding hurt: Orlando hit 20-of-45 from three and outrebounded Memphis 52–40. The Grizzlies made 17-of-45 three-point attempts.Encouraging ball movement: Memphis recorded 31 assists against just seven turnovers, a positive despite the loss. Desmond Bane was perfect from deep: Bane scored nine points on 3-for-3 three-point shooting for Orlando. Tristan da Silva led the Magic with 19 points.
