The Nets waived guard Dion Brown and forward Dain Dainja on Sunday, per NBA.com’s transaction log.

Both players were on Exhibit 10 contracts with Brooklyn and could be headed to the G League to play for the Long Island Nets. They’ll both be eligible for a bonus worth up to $91K if they spend at least 60 days with Long Island.

Brown went undrafted out of Saint Louis earlier this year, while Dainja didn’t hear his name called in the 2025 draft and spent last season in the G League with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, Miami’s affiliate team.

The Nets now have two openings on their preseason roster, which currently features 19 players.

According to the transaction log, the Cavaliers released guards Kadary Richmond and Curtis Jones on Friday. They were cut to make roster space for Jaxson Robinson and Noam Yaacov — both signed with Cleveland that same day.

Richmond, who signed a 10-day contract with the Wizards in February, had a solid 2025/26 regular season in the NBAGL with the Capital City Go-Go. Jones, 24, spent all of last season on a two-way contract with the Nuggets, though he only played 88 total minutes over 10 appearances.

Richmond and Jones seem likely to open the 2026/27 campaign in the G League with the Cleveland Charge after being waived from their Exhibit 10 deals.
