SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Utah Jazz fans were invited to welcome players as they walk the Mountain Purple carpet into a new season at the Delta Center.
The free-to-attend home opener celebration starts at 4 p.m. on the SeatGeek Plaza just outside the arena ahead of the team’s home opener against the New Orleans Pelicans on Oct. 23.
The Utah Jazz said fans can expect live music, food and beverages and opportunities to score prizes from free Chick-Fil-A sandwiches to free t-shirts. Fans will also have an opportunity to meet former Jazz man C.J. Miles for autographs and photos.

Shortly after the festivities kick off, Jazz players will make their entrance on the Mountain Purple carpet as the team greets the crowd.
The game officially tips off at 7:30 p.m. For those not attending in person, Utah Jazz said fans watch on the game locally on KJZZ channel 14 or through SEG Media’s SEG+ and Jazz+.
