The Huskies ended their 2025-26 season with a 36-4 record and were No. 2 in the Big East with a 17-3 conference record. Despite that, UConn and Dan Hurley made a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, knocking off the favorite, Duke, on a last second shot from Braylen Mullins. Hurley brought in seven transfers and three freshmen this season, a group headlined by Duke transfer Nik Khamenia and Seton Hall transfer Na’jai Hines. He also brought back Mullins and Silas Demary Jr.

The Orange finished 15-17 overall last season and 6-12 against teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Kiyan Anthony returns for his sophomore season alongside Sadiq White Jr. and Calvin Russell III, while Garwey Dual provides experience in the backcourt. Syracuse has enough talent to become dangerous, but the Orange will be relying heavily on players still early in their college careers.”
