The Boston Celtics face a difficult summer. Brad Stevens is expected to make some changes to the current rotation as he looks to help the franchise duck under the second luxury tax apron. Boston cannot justify such an expensive roster if they’re not expecting to compete next season. As such, Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis and Sam Hauser have all been floated as potential departures in the coming months.
Of course, everyone outside of Jayson Tatum are likely available for the right price, and that includes the ever-impressive Derrick White. The former San Antonio Spurs guard was arguably the Celtics third-best player this past season and has become a genuine fan-favorite over the past two years.

In a June 5 episode of the “How ‘Bout Them Celtics?” podcast, hosts Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance explored the possibility of Boston trading away White, and what the team could ask for in return for the player who led all guards for total blocks this past season.
