CANYON, Texas (KFDA) – West Texas A&M men’s basketball announced via press release that Robert Jackson had officially signed with the team on Monday.
Jackson is a recent graduate of Brennan High School in San Antonio, where he played on the varsity team both his junior and senior years.
In 80 games played over those two years, he averaged 11 points and nine rebounds per game, sporting an impressive 63 percent shooting from the floor. He also scored over 1,000 points with the Bears.
Buffs head men’s basketball coach, Tom Brown, said this via press release about Jackson signing and joining the team.
“He picks up on the little things so quickly and will really mesh well with our current and incoming players. He is someone that can make an immediate impact for our squad as he is a very talented player and he is still yet to reach his full potential. He will give us added size and flexibility on how we want to play. We are very excited to welcome Robert Jackson to our squad.”
The Buffs finished last season with an overall record of 19-12, qualifying for the NCAA D2 tournament, but fell in the first round.
