The Cavinder Twins, Haley and Hanna Cavinder, made a surprise appearance at Game 3 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Finals on Monday as the Florida Panthers dismantled the Edmonton Oilers 6-1 to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
In what was a feisty affair, the defending champions made light work of their opponents on their return to home soil, having played the first two contests across the border at Rogers Place. After losing the first game 4-3, the Panthers then got back on level terms with a 5-4 success just 48 hours later.
Then, last night, the NHL‘s Eastern Conference champions completed their turn around to take a 2-1 lead into the remaining four games of the series. There to witness it was the Cavinder Twins, who previously turned up at UFC 314 and spoke to Kai Trump about why Hanna broke up with Carson Beck.

Now, the college basketball stars, who play for the Miami Hurricanes and have also gained fame as social media influencers, have turned heads with their appearance at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
The duo took to their shared Instagram page with a video of them posing for the camera after arriving at the venue, captioning the post: “let’s go! @flapanthers.” In the clip, the twins could be seen sporting red Panthers jerseys, which had their names written on the back.
Not long after, the official NHL account on X posted a picture of the twins, writing: “We’ve got @CavinderHaley and @CavinderHanna in the house in Florida! #StanleyCup”

Unfortunately for the 24-year-old’s, their presence wasn’t well received by some, with a number of social media users expressing their distaste at the NHL’s post. One person even accused them of being “clout chasers”.
“No one knows who this is. Nice try NHL,” one fan said. “NHL you’re better than this,” wrote another. A third user added: “What are we doing NHL, why?”, while a fourth spat: “Clout chasers. Times up for them. Cant milk NIL anymore.”
It wasn’t just on social media where drama ensued, with the players on the rink also doing their best to leave a lasting impression – and not in a good way. With the Panthers 5-1 ahead with less than 10 minutes remaining on the clock, an almighty brawl soon broke out.
The melee appeared to begin when Oilers center Trent Frederic cross-checked the Panthers’ Sam Bennett, breaking his stick in the process. All of a sudden, cameras switched to the pair laying into each other on the floor, before their teammates soon bundled in.

All of a sudden, multiple fights broke out across the rink, with all 10 players on the ice involved. Florida’s A.J. Greer and Edmonton’s Mattias Ekholm were the first to get physical, before Panthers star Nate Schmidt and Connor Brown of the Oilers began to spar.
Defensemen Dmitry Kulikov and left winger Viktor Arvidsson also joined in on the action, but the fight that drew the biggest reaction from the crowd was the one between Panthers winger Jonah Gadjovich and Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse, who became locked in a violent altercation as they kept hold of the other’s neck and sweater.
Eventually, tensions settled and play resumed, but only after eight players had received 10-minute misconduct penalties and were tossed from the game. The Panthers, with a 5-on-3 advantage, then boosted their lead further in the closing stages to end the game 6-1 winners.
