There are a lot of games on the Kentucky Wildcats’ schedule that fans are going to be really looking forward to, including several marquee non-conference games.

The SEC will be really good once again this season, and the Wildcats will be playing John Calipari’s Arkansas Razorbacks.

Unfortunately, according to Jon Rothstein, the Wildcats will only play the Razorbacks once this season, and that will be on the road in Fayetteville.

Both teams have high expectations going into the 2025-26 season, with On3 having the Wildcats at No. 5 in their way-too-early rankings and the Razorbacks at No. 11. The two teams each have key returning players from their respective Sweet 16 teams last season.

Kentucky will be returning its leading scorer, Otega Oweh, as well as Brandon Garrison, while Arkansas will be returning Karter Knox, DJ Wagner, Billy Richmond, and Trevon Brazile.

The Wildcats hosted the Razorbacks on February 1st last season, Calipari’s first game back in Lexington since leaving for Arkansas in April 2024. Arkansas beat Kentucky 89-79 that night, sparking an impressive turnaround for the Razorbacks toward an eventual Sweet 16 appearance.

Pope led the Wildcats to their first Sweet 16 in six years last season, and a deep transfer portal class and Oweh returning has the Wildcats entering next season with national championship aspirations.

We don’t know the SEC Men’s Basketball opponent pairings for next season yet, but we do know the Wildcats will only play Arkansas on the road.

In a 16-team SEC, every team plays three teams home and away, six teams at home only, and six teams on the road only.

Sources: Kentucky and Arkansas will play once during SEC play during the 2025-26 season and it will be in Fayetteville at Bud Walton Arena.
