The front office carousel has begun in the NBA as teams begin to make the changes they feel necessary to take another step toward contending for an NBA title. The Atlanta Hawks recently made some changes to their front office with the hire of Onsi Saleh as their new GM. Now, he has begun to build his staff.
Per ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Hawks will hire Philadelphia 76ers executive Peter Dinwiddie to be the team’s Senior VP of Strategy and Analytics. Dinwiddie had served as Philadelphia’s Executive VP of Basketball Operations since being hired in October of 2020 and he was a key voice during his five seasons in the City of Brotherly Love.
Dinwiddie will now look to help the Hawks take the next step as they look to build around star guard Trae Young. Atlanta continues to do its best to build a strong front office which will then lead to a strong roster on the floor to get out of the mediocre level in the East.
