The Phoenix Suns have a busy offseason ahead of them and all the focus around the league is their upcoming decision on their star forward Kevin Durant.

Of course, the Suns are expected to move on from Durant this summer after they failed to make the playoffs as they look to rebuild their roster around Devin Booker.
Phoenix listened to offers for Durant at the trade deadline but they ultimately elected to keep him on their roster, but that will likely not be the case this summer as they try to retool their roster to become a contender once again.

With Durant likely on the move, many teams have been linked to the future Hall of Famer and ESPN’s Shams Charania recently reported which teams are the headliners.
According to Charania, Durant and his business partner, Rich Kleiman, are sorting through trade options with the main interested teams being the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat and New York Knicks.
While it seems as though Durant will likely be moving to one of these teams, it is ultimately not his decision, but rather the Suns’ decision as they try to land the largest package possible in a trade.

Due to this, the Suns could elect to trade Durant to a team not mentioned in Charania’s report as Kevin O’Connor reported that there are several “wild-card” suitors that have called the Suns regarding Durant.
O’Connor did not mention any teams in particular in his report but it is expected that teams outside of the five mentioned by Charania will also show interest in the superstar forward this offseason.
Because of this, it may turn into a bidding war for the teams involved, especially if more join the Durant sweepstakes, which would be the best scenario for Phoenix as they try to land the largest trade package possible to kickstart their rebuild.
