The NFL Combine is a huge event leading up to the NFL draft, and is popular with fans. The NBA also has a combine event every year, even if it’s not as popular as the NFL version. This year, two Kentucky Wildcats have been invited to work out there, and make their case to be drafted.
Koby Brea is the most likely Wildcat to be drafted this year. He has good size, and is one of the most lethal three-point shooters available. Defensively, he struggled early in the year, but improved in that area as the season wore on.
Otega Oweh led Kentucky in scoring this past season, and showed off an uncanny ability to get into the lane and either score or get fouled. He’s also a good on-ball defender. He’s a little undersized, though, and doesn’t shoot it well from three-point range.
Both are talented players who could certainly find NBA homes, but nothing is guaranteed at this point. Having a good showing at the combine could help put them on the radar. Good luck to both players at that event.
