Vienna, Ill. (KFVS) – Vienna High School will host a total of 12 schools and hundreds of athletes during a 2-day River to River Shootout event on June 16 & 17.
The event starts on Monday, June 16 with the Freshman/JV Shootout at Vienna High School.
Teams from McCracken County, Goreville, Eldorado, Vienna and Carlisle will play in the tournament.
Admission for the Freshman/JV event is $3 at the gate and children younger than 12 will get in for free.
On Tuesday, June 17, the River to River Varsity Tournament will tip off. The event will take place at four different locations, including New Simpson, Vienna and Cypress grade schools and Vienna High School.
Teams from Eldorado, Goreville, St. Mary, Trico, Massac, Anna, Century, Vienna, Gallatin, Livingston, Carlisle and Ballard schools will participate.
Admission for the Varsity event is $5 at the gate and children younger than 12 will get in for free.
“We are thrilled to host these exciting summer basketball events and welcome so many talented teams to Vienna,” said Head Coach Burlin Brower. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for our young athletes to compete, develop their skills, and showcase their hard work.”
Athletic Director David Hill added, “These tournaments provide an invaluable experience for all the participating schools. We are committed to fostering competitive environments and promoting sportsmanship, and we look forward to a great two days of basketball.”
