With the Philadelphia 76ers sitting out of the playoffs for the first time since 2017, now is the time to look around the postseason landscape to check out some former members of the team. There have been quite a handful of former Sixers making a big impact on the game’s biggest stage.
For example, former Sixers guard Buddy Hield was able to have a huge game for the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night in a winner-takes-all Game 7 against the Houston Rockets. Hield scored 22 points in the first half and finished with 33 for the game while knocking down nine triples with two blocks in a 103-89 win over the Rockets.
Former Sixers star Jimmy Butler added 20 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists to help the Warriors get the job done. Along with the performance of the duo of former Sixers, Steph Curry added 22 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists to eliminate the Rockets.
Hield, Butler, and the Warriors will now advance to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1 of Round 2 on Tuesday.
