Former Georgetown center Thomas Sorber reportedly met with the Utah Jazz recently ahead of the 2025 NBA draft, according to Tony Jones of The Athletic.

Sorber was named to the All-Big East third team last season as a freshman, averaging 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals on 53.2% shooting from the field. He became the first Hoya since Markel Starks (2012-13) to earn all-conference third-team recognition.

The 6-foot-10 standout is unable to work out with teams after undergoing surgery to repair a foot injury that limited him to 24 games with the Hoyas. He instead dined with Jazz personnel and underwent a medical evaluation on Friday, marking his first known team visit of the year.

Sorber is considered a potential lottery pick after establishing himself as a dominant threat in the paint, either as a roller or back-to-the-basket scorer. He was also among the freshmen leaders in defensive win shares and wins above replacement.

The 19-year-old took part in the anthropometric measurement testing at the combine last month, registering a monstrous 7-foot, 6-inch wingspan, which was tied for the second-longest at the event. He measured in at 262.8 pounds, the heaviest recorded weight.

The Jazz hold pick Nos. 5, 21, 43 and 53 in the draft on June 25-26. They have brought in several potential first-round targets for workouts, including Jeremiah Fears (Oklahoma), Tre Johnson (Texas), Nique Clifford (Colorado State) and Jase Richardson (Michigan State).
