ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Rockford youngsters were treated to not one NBA champion but two of them Saturday.

Andre Iguodala joined Fred VanVleet for VanVleet’s annual summer basketball camp held at the UW Health Indoor Sports Factory in downtown Rockford. Iguodala won four championships with the Golden State Warriors during their dynasty.

Like VanVleet who is a Rockford native, Iguodala is also an Illinois native having played his high school ball in Springfield at Lanphier High School.

The youngsters at the camp were thrilled to have two NBA greats in the house with them, but the local guy VanVleet, who just completed his second season with the Houston Rockets and who also won an NBA championship with Toronto, is still their favorite they say.
