The 2025 NBA Draft continues today with the second round. The event will be televised on ESPN beginning at 8:00 PM Eastern/5:00 PM Pacific.
The Portland Trail Blazers do not have a second-round selection scheduled this year but you never know when they might trade or buy in. We’ll doubtless see plenty of other trade action along with the more routine selections.

The New York Knicks originally held the 26th spot in the order but they forfeited the selection after being found liable for tampering with Jalen Brunson during contract negotiations. As a result, this year’s second round features 29 picks instead of 30.
Trades and Transactions
The Los Angeles Lakers traded up ten spots to the 45th pick ESPN’s Shams Charania reported.
The Los Angeles Lakers are moving up in the second round of the NBA Draft tonight, acquiring the No. 45 pick from the Chicago Bulls for No. 55 and cash, sources tell ESPN.
The Suns added the 36th pick in the draft in a trade from the Brooklyn Nets according to Shams.
Shams added that the Suns are rerouting that pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for the 31st pick. Shams also reported that the Suns are trading picks 52 and 59 to the Golden State Warriors for the 41st pick.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are trading the first pick in tonight’s NBA draft — No. 31 — to the Phoenix Suns for No. 36 and two future second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. Suns continue rebuild by moving up to 31 and 41 in draft — send out 36, 52, 59 and two future seconds.
Shams reported that the Boston Celtics are trading the 32nd pick to the Orlando Magic for a pair of seconds later in the draft.
The Boston Celtics are trading No. 32 to the Orlando Magic for Nos. 46 and 57, a 2026 second-rounder and 2027 second-rounder, sources tell ESPN.
Shams reported that the Lakers have acquired the 36th pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for the 45th pick.
