Ciani is coming off of a season at UIC where he averaged 9.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game across 27 games, where he started in 21 of them. Prior to his sophomore year in 2024-25, he played his freshman campaign at Xaiver, where he played in 31 games and averaged 2.9 rebounds and 2.5 points per contest.
He has two years of eligibility remaining, and will slide into a frontcourt that has a pair of first-year 7-footers in Ivan Jurić and Justin Houser as well as Cinnicianti transfer Josh Reed.
“We’re excited to get Saša on campus and welcome him to our Penn State basketball family,” Mike Rhoades wrote in a press release. “He is a veteran that will give us front court experience, size and versatility. We’re looking forward to the leadership, intense play and toughness that he will bring to our program.”
