The Miami Heat will be playing in the 2025 NBA Summer League via the California Classic and the Las Vegas Summer League next month. The Heat is still eyeing their big move, but the franchise is known cultivate players from the start, which makes their Summer League appearances intriguing. 

Miami Heat Summer League 2025

During the 2025 NBA draft, the Miami Heat selected Lithuanian guard Kasparas Jakucionis from Illinois as their 20th pick. It was the only pick for the Heat in the draft, adding to the team’s core of Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, Nikola Jovic and Kel’el Ware.

The Miami Heat managed to finish eighth last season, making it to the playoffs despite their tenth best record in the Eastern Conference. However, they lost to Cleveland Cavaliers during the first round in the playoffs.

The Summer League gives them the opportunity to see potential talent of the players, who can make it to their roster and rotation next year. With Miami Heat’s ability to find diamonds in the rough, there is a possible chance they could do it this year as well.

The Miami Heat will be trying out youngsters in the 2025 Summer League, including the likes of rookies, sophomores and unheralded players from NCAA and the G-League.

Some of the key players in the roster includes Kel’el Ware, who had a terrific rookie year with the Heat last season and Kasparas Jakucionis. 

The other players combined of undrafted and G-League players, who are looking to make the most of their opportunities in the Summer League.

Miami Heat 2025 Summer League schedule

The Miami Heat will start their Summer League in the California Classic at the Chase Center. The first game will be against San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, June 5th.
