Teams were allowed to negotiate with players beginning Monday evening, and the Bulls wasted no time in re-signing Jones, who was acquired in the trade that sent Zach LaVine to the San Antonio Spurs.
Jones joined the Bulls during the 2024-25 season, appearing in 18 games. He averaged 11.5 points, 4.9 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.
In his NBA career, he’s averaged 8.4 points and 4.7 assists per game in 297 games with the Spurs and Bulls.
He made $9.1 million last season, the second year of a two-year deal he had signed with the Spurs.
