Now that the NBA Draft has came and went, the next process of the offseason is the NBA 2K26 Summer League games.

For the Garden State, the majority of eyes will be set on the two Top 5 picks that hail from Rutgers – San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper, who was drafted No. 2, and Utah Jazz‘s No. 5 Ace Bailey.

Bailey is a 6-foot-8 forward who made headlines leading up to the draft that took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. He declined to work out with teams leading up to the draft, including the Jazz. Last season, the Jazz had the worst record in the league, finishing 17-65. Eyes are set on Bailey to make an immediate impact within the franchise.

As for Harper, the son of former NBA guard Ron Harper, he’s been drafted on a Spurs team that also has star Victor Wembanyama. As of now, the former Don Bosco Prep grad will be accompanied by other point guards in veterans Chris Paul and De’Aaron Fox. With Wembanyama expected to return after blood clots sidelined him last season, Harper’s 6-foot-6 frame and skillset has put the rookie Spur on analysts’ radars.

The Summer League is the time to get an early look at how college and overseas players will fare against the different tempo and skill level of the NBA. From shot clocks, spacing, to athleticism — there are adjustments. Of course most eyes will be on Dallas Maverick’s No. 1 draft pick Cooper Flagg, who played his freshman year at Duke.
